Hemsun Engg. Industries has manufactured precision polymer spheres in Gujarat, India since 1990 — more than 36 years. We operate a single plant at Dahegam in Gandhinagar district, where PTFE powder becomes a finished, inspected ball without leaving the site.
That distinction matters more in this industry than it might sound. A large share of PTFE ball supply in India and abroad moves through traders who buy from whichever producer is cheapest that month. The balls look identical in a bag. What differs — resin grade, compaction pressure, the sintering ramp, whether the ball was ground or left as-molded — is invisible at the point of purchase and decisive in service. When you buy from us, every one of those variables was set by people you can call.
What We Do In-House
Every stage below runs in our own plant. Nothing in the process chain is subcontracted, which is what makes consistency across repeat batches achievable rather than aspirational.
Compression molding
PTFE powder compacted in our own dies. We fabricate and retain tooling in-house, so custom diameters are routine and repeat orders never restart tooling.
Controlled sintering
Heating and cooling ramps set per diameter and grade. This is where density and void content are decided — and where large-diameter balls are usually lost by other producers.
Ball turning
Sintered blanks turned to near-net sphere before finishing, on machines we operate ourselves rather than subcontract.
Centerless grinding
Final diameter, roundness and surface finish. Doing this in-house is what makes batch-to-batch consistency possible.
Inspection
Diameter, roundness, surface condition and density verification on every batch, with dimensional reports available on request.
Packing and export
Domestic dispatch with GST invoice and e-way bill; export packing with commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin.

The plant sits on the Zak-Vahelal road in Dahegam, inside the industrial belt that runs between Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad. That location is not incidental. Gujarat produces a very large share of India's chemicals, dyes, petrochemicals and bulk drugs, which makes it simultaneously the country's biggest consumer of PTFE check elements and the sensible place to manufacture them.
For local buyers it means something practical: you can bring a worn ball to the factory in the morning, have it measured against our gauges, watch the grinding operation, and leave with a matched quotation the same visit. For buyers further away, it means the person answering your technical question is standing next to the machine that will make your part.
How We Deal With Buyers
We will tell you when PTFE is the wrong material
PTFE is our core product, but it is not always the right answer. If your balls are failing from abrasion rather than chemical attack, UHMWPE will usually outlast PTFE at lower cost, and we will say so. If seat load is deforming them, a filled grade or PEEK is the fix. Send us a worn ball — the wear pattern usually answers the question in seconds.
We quote against a specification, not a guess
Price depends on diameter, grade, tolerance, quantity and tooling. Anyone quoting before asking those is guessing. Give us the specification and you get a firm number — see what actually drives PTFE ball price.
We keep your die
Once a custom diameter is proved against your drawing, we retain the tooling. A repeat order years later runs to the same geometry without paying for tooling again — which is the practical reason OEMs stay with a manufacturer rather than a trader.
We do not overclaim certification
We supply material declarations, food-contact statements and dimensional reports. If you need something we do not hold, we will say so rather than issue a document that will not survive your customer's audit.

Is Hemsun Engg. Industries a manufacturer or a trading company?
A manufacturer. Compression molding, sintering, ball turning, centerless grinding and inspection all happen in our own plant at Dahegam. This is verifiable rather than a claim — buyers are welcome to visit and watch the process running.
What sizes can you actually produce?
Solid PTFE balls from 5 mm to 310 mm, plus hollow PTFE balls made from fusion-welded hemispheres. The upper end matters: producing a void-free PTFE sphere near 310 mm requires careful compaction and a long controlled sintering cycle, which is why most suppliers stop far short of it.
What certifications do you hold?
We supply material declarations confirming virgin PTFE resin, food-contact statements where relevant, and dimensional reports on request. If your specification requires a particular third-party certification, ask us directly — we will tell you plainly whether we hold it rather than answer vaguely.
How long have you been making PTFE balls?

Do you supply outside India?
